โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐จ๐จ. BOWIE WINCHESTER was not a Winchester which was something that he learned quickly when it came to surviving with them. It wasn't his fault that John and Mary Winchester had a bad argument in 1981 that inevitably led to her seeking comfort in another man. It was one time, never to happen again. But mistakes have consequences and well, Bowie was that consequence.

โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐จ๐จ. BOWIE THOUGHT it was funny looking back at it. Bowie had gone from a beloved toddler to a boy wondering why the hell John Winchester treated him like shit on a shoe after his mother died. Did John blame him for Mary's death? Bowie didn't know but the man loved to remind him every chance he got while he was growing up that Bowie was, in fact, not a Winchester and that he should be grateful he didn't drop him off at the nearest orphanage without looking back for Mary's sake. Go figure.

โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐จ๐จ. BEING IGNORED and neglected had its perks, though. Bowie got to do whatever he wanted without a consequences, ignoring the trauma that came with being John Winchester's personal punching bag, and when Bowie turned eighteen he got the hell out of dodge with a big scholarship to The Kansas City Art Institute and never looked back. Ever.

โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐จ๐จ. NO MORE HUNTING, no more mental abuse, just him and a paint brush like he always wanted it to be. And yes, leaving his home saved him from any more damage but Bowie would still have to live with mental and physical wounds that came with being him. Like his hearing loss, which was caused at the age of fifteen when Bowie tried to get in between one of John and Sam's heated arguments.

โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐จ๐จ. JOHN FIRED two shots of his pistol next to each side of his head in a brutal warning, and Bowie wasn't able to hear clearly since. But that was okay, Bowie didn't care. He was free and he wasn't looking back. That was until six years later during his free weekend of watching MTV and falling asleep on the couch, did Bowie get a knock on the door from his big brother Dean.

โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐จ๐จ. DEAN CLAIMED that their dad was on a hunting trip, he hadn't been home in a few days and he needed Bowie's help to find him. His tracking skills could cut their search in half and there was no one Dean trusted more to get the job done than him. However, Bowie didn't know whether to slam the door in his face or offer him a root beer.
